The album title, Воля, pronounced ‘volya,’ is the Ukrainian word for ‘will’ and ‘freedom.’ The Cyrillic letters appear, although hidden, in the Ukrainian trident coat of arms.

This project was conceived through a sense of worry, unease, anger but overwhelmingly, helplessness. And so what better way to channel these emotions into a positive project to raise funds for DEC and their humanitarian work with the millions of displaced Ukrainians both inside and outside the country.

The music and synth community has this wonderful, inherent support ethos and the project wouldn't have happened were it not for the musicians and artists willing to channel their feelings onto their synths and produce such amazing and varied tracks.

With 25 tracks, there truly is something for everyone and if you're reading this, we really hope you'll support the project by buying the album or your favourite tracks. Every penny raised goes to charity - the entire project is based on voluntary contributions, so please dig deep if you can afford to.
